BSC team members David Maislin and Brendan Keenan supported Dr. Victoria Pak (Emory University) in two abstracts examining the impact of CPAP on inflammatory biomarkers and whether obesity modifies the effect. The abstracts have been accepted for presentation at the 2021 SLEEP annual meeting https://www.sleepmeeting.org/. The conference will be held online from 10 to 13 June 2021.
The two approved abstracts are:
"Obesity does not modify the effect of 4 months of CPAP on leptin or adiponectin"
"Obesity modifies the effect of 4 months of CPAP on glucose levels in adults with obstructive sleep apnea"
